An ApplicationWhen God tests us (or allows us to be tested) never forget that as bad as it may get, God can make it all worth it. Sometimes He blesses us for obedience in this life (JOB 42:12) and sometimes we'll have to wait for the life to come (ROM 8:18).

Connect the DotsIn JOB 42:9, his 3 friends were named. Elihu, from JOB 32-37, is not mentioned. Given the circumstances/context, that's probably an implied compliment. And given that he spoke for six chapters yet didn't get rebuked, it may be a big compliment.
